How to Play

Controls: Click a piece to select it, then click the destination square. Right-click to deselect.

Goal: Checkmate your opponent’s king by trapping it with no legal escape moves.

Pro Tips

Control the center squares early — d4 and e4 are your strongest opening moves.
Develop knights before bishops, and castle early to keep your king safe.
Do not bring your queen out too early. A protected queen is worth more than an aggressive one.
