A color word appears, but it's printed in an ink color that may be different. Your job: click the button matching the ink color, not the word. The conflict between word meaning and color tests your brain's inhibition and processing speed.

Tips

• Focus on the ink color — try not to read the word
• Speed matters, but accuracy counts more
• A bigger difference between congruent and incongruent times = more cognitive interference
